Funding for project: Improving Social Values through Urban Design in Large-Scale Post-Soviet and Post-War Residential Neighborhoods

Publicerad den

We are proud to announce that our project, ”Improving Social Values through Urban Design in Large-Scale Post-Soviet and Post-War Residential Neighborhoods,” has been awarded seed funding by the Swedish Institute!

Thanks to this support, we can now initiate a collaboration bringing together architects and planners from Ukraine, Lithuania and Sweden to map similar and different challenges and opportunities for enhancing social values of large-scale residential areas during renovation and reconstruction processes. Together, we will also compile best practices from completed projects and share them with colleagues across our national borders.

Many thanks to the Swedish Institute for trusting us with this opportunity!

From Spacescape, we would also like to extend our gratitude to our project partners:

  • Mykolaiv Development Agency (via Yevhen Poliakov, Chief Architect of Mykolaiv and Mariia Tokar, PHD Student and architect)
  • Architects Association of Lithuania (via Ruta Leitanaite, AAL and Architects Council of Europe)

Additionally, a special thanks to Pehr Mikael Sällström at Architects Sweden, whose work through the UREHERIT project connected us, and to Eugenia Bevz, who will be contributing to the project.
